The 1,500,000 th EliTe ® Compact Spindle by SUESSEN goes to our esteemed customer Super Spinning Mills Ltd., India. On 50,000 EliTe ® Compact Spindles and 12,000 EliTwist ® Compact Spindles, out of their total ca- pacity of over 150,000 ring spindles, the company processes top quality yarns for weaving and knitting. This specific 1,500,000 th EliTe ® Compact Spindle will be installed on a Lakshmi G5/1 ma- chine. Super Spinning Mills Ltd. had placed their first order for EliTe ® CompactSet already 4 years ago and favoured us with many repeat orders ever since. In a little ceremony during the SIMA Exhibition 2006, Coimbatore, India (July 27-31), the SUESSEN Management will symbolically hand over this Award to Sri L.G. Ramamurthi /Chairman and Sri Sumanth Ramamurthi/ Managing Director of Super Spinning Mills Ltd. Super Spinning Mills Limited (SSML) was incorporated in 1962 in South India. SSML is part of the Sara Elgi Group and has four divisions: Agriculture, Spinning, Weaving and Garments. The annual turnover is over $ 85 Million of which about $ 40 Million is exclusively catering to export pur- pose. The exports are going to countries like Italy, Germany, Spain, UK, France, Gulf, Hong Kong, Tai- wan, USA, Japan, Korea etc. The Spinning Division comprises three units manufacturing yarns from Ne 6 to Ne 140 (100% cotton, carded and combed, compact single, EliTwist ® , core spun, fancy etc.). They also use organic cotton ex- tensively on EliTe ® CompactSet. SSML is known for excellent and consistent product quality. The company continuously strives towards upgrading their machinery to state-of-the-art machines to ensure customer satisfaction. Our many customers world over have decided, that Compact Spinning is here to stay! What initially many considered to be a niche spinning method for medium to fine count combed cotton yarns for weav- ing, has evolved into a spinning system with many applications, and which are growing every day! SUESSEN has been involved in this exiting technology from the very beginning with the EliTe ® Compact Spinning System. Many experts see the ITMA’99 in Paris to be the birth date of compact spinning. SUESSEN has made a lot of progress since those early days, a progress that without the support of our customers in both the EliTe ® Technology and its applications could not have happened.
